Major Songs, the ASCAP-affiliated publishing company that
includes the catalog of the late Carl Sigman, has forged 16 international
subpublishing deals. Major recently inked a North American administration deal
with Bug Music (Bulletin, July 16).
Among the new subpublishing partners, to be announced today,
are Windswept Pacific (U.K.), Melodie der Welt (Germany), Halit Music (France),
Fujipacific (Japan), Universal Music Publishing (Australia), Air Chrysalis
(Scandinavia), BMG Music Publishing (Asia), and Warner/Chappell (Greece).
The Sigman catalog includes “Arrivederci Roma,” “It’s All In
The Game,” “Buona Sera,” and “Love Story.” His song “What Now My Love” was
recently featured on hit albums by Germany’s Helmut Lotti and France’s Patricia
Kaas.
